26 year-old American jazz violinist, songwriter and author Nora Francesca Germain has been playing the violin for over 20 years and performing professionally for the last decade. She studied at Idyllwild Arts Academy, The New School for Jazz, and University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. She currently lives in Los Angeles and performs regularly as a leader both in the United States and Europe. She has also performed with many of the world’s greatest musical talents including Jon Batiste and Stay Human, Postmodern Jukebox, Sam Smith, Tommy Emmanuel CGP, John Altman, Alison Burns, Jacob Collier, and Martin Taylor MBE. In addition to playing on frequent recording sessions for film and television and for musical artists in a wide array of genres, she has also released seven of her own albums as well as an inspirational book, and is quickly becoming one of today’s most loved talents in jazz. She performs and records original music as well as a lively selection of jazz repertoire that has won her the affection of music lovers around the world. She has volunteered performances for numerous charities and foundations in the United States and abroad including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she was a weekly performer from 2014 to 2016. Nora was also invited by author Eckhart Tolle to perform at The Eckhart Tolle Foundation in 2016.
